The good ole days

I got an email this morning from my best friend from Jr high and high school. I don't hear from her often as she is a very busy nurse and has 3 little ones, so I am always excited to hear anything at all.
She was letting all of her friends know that they were moving.
I scanned the list of people the email went out to and in it was my first true love.
BAM...I was walking down memory lane.
This was 76' -'77 in Cottonwood , AZ
Beck was a fabulous friend and we hung out with Danny and Jeff. The first time I saw Danny, I was visiting Beck (they lived in the same neighborhood) and I was instantly smitten (smitten??...we *did not* use that word back then!)
I had a crush on him for years. We finally got together my soph year, then my parents decided to move in the middle of that year. Things with Danny and I were just getting good. I was crushed for a very long time. He came to see me, but my dad ran him off. The crazy thing is, I never stopped thinking about him. Weird.
We made contact a few times over the years, he married, has a slew of kids.
I married. ( and had my own slew of kids)
Now, Jeff...well, Beck had a crush on him, don't think they ever dated though.
But, here is the cool thing. When I lived in Charlotte, Beck found out that Jeff had just moved to that area. I got a hold of Jeff and my family and his all got together a few times. Jeff is such a nut and except for being taller anda bit heavier, was no different than I remembered him. I always thought he was a cross between Toby McGuire and Jake Gillyham. A cutie.

Beck and I and out other pal, Cathy were called  Neener, Becker and Cather and we had the shirts made. My oldest daughter still wears my Neener shirt (aint retro grand?)
So, I dug out a few pics to post.

Danny and I off to His Jr prom (I was a freshman)

Becky and I with our special shirts on...ok, now this is funny...I didn't post the pic of our 'Charlies Angels' pose, but thats what we were doing before this pic...and guess what? I have MANY pics of my girls doing the 'Charlie's Angels' pose! (nothing really changes does it?)

Danny, Becky and Jeff (and yes, Danny is purposefully crossing his eyes.)
